Modular Expansion Joint

The modular seal expansion joint system shall consist of multiple strip seal joints that shall allow movements as shown on the plans. The configuration of the expansion joint system shall consist of neoprene strip seals mechanically held in place by steel edge and separation beams. Each separation beam shall be supported by independent multiple support bars, which are welded to the separation beams. The expansion joint system shall not incorporate any bolted connections between the separation beams and support bars. The final completed expansion joint system shall be continuous across the full width of the roadway and continue into the traffic barriers.

Strip Seal Expansion Joint

Strip seals have successful performance records over several years. We use monolithic edge beam, so the stability and life of the product increases and also we use tough neoprene rubber as water barrier in the gap which has a very high life time. Basically Strip Seal system is a unique concept for effectively sealing expansion joints in bridges and structures with large movements. And we have two types in it with stud type and loop type anchorage system.

The reinforced elastomeric slab joints are recommended for upto 80MM movements. The joint accommodates the movements by shear deformation of the elastomer and opening & closing of grooves at upper & lower surfaces. The maximum movement is limited with gap width.

Slab Seal Expansion Joint

Elastomeric joints are normally supplied in unit length and fixed to the deck using bolt anchors. If required tensioned cast iron bolts should be used to anchor this joint. If site drilled installations are used, the holes should be under reamed prior to fixing the bolts. An adequate length of the bolt should be de-bonded so that any relaxation over the bolt length does not result in complete loss of tension in the bolt.

Compression Seal Expansion Joint

COMPRESSION SEAL EXPANSION JOINT consists of steel armoured nosing at two edges of the joint gap suitably anchored to the deck concrete and a performed chloroprene elastomer compressed and fixed into the joint gap with special adhesive girder.The compression seal will cater for a horizontal movement upto 40mm and vertical movement of 3mm.It is recommended for simply supported or continuous spans right or skew moderately curved with maximum horizontal movement not exceeding 40mm.

Filler Joints

It is simple expansion joint is recommended for 20mm gap, filled by half bulb shaped copper plate slightly below the wearing coat. Below & above the copper plate, gap will be filled by compressible fibre board and premolded filler joint. Recess can be filled at the top to the level of wearing course.
