(Withania somnifera) The oil is expressed from the dry roots of Ashwagandha. It is cultivated in India. The main constituents of ashwagandha are alkaloids and steroidal lactones. Among the various alkaloids, withanine is the main constituent. It is used in ayurvedic medicines, aromatherapy and massage oils.
The oil is steam distilled from seed of anise. It is native to India & China. The oil is colorless to pale yellow in color and has sweet licorice odor. It is used in perfumery, flavors & pharmaceuticals.
(Melissa officinalis) It is steam distilled from the fresh flowering tops, leaves and stems of Melissa plant. Melissa is grown in India, France and Ireland. Melissa is also called Lemon Balm. The oil is pale yellow in color and has a fresh, floral and lemony odor. It is used in perfumery compounds, cosmetics and aromatherapy.
(Atremisia dracunculus) It is steam distilled from the leaves and flowering tops of Tarragon herb. Tarragon is grown in France, Holland, Hungary and the USA. The oil is colorless to pale yellow in color and has an herbaceous and spicy odor. It is used in perfumery compounds, soaps, cosmetics and flavors.
(Gaultheria procumbens) It is steam distilled from the macerated leaves of Wintergreen plant. Wintergreen is grown in China and Nepal. The oil is pale yellow to reddish in color and has a very strong and minty odor. It is used in pharmaceutics, pain balms and flavors.
