Kashmir shawl factory is one of the best manufacturers of papier mache artefacts papier mache is a french word meaning "chewed paper." the paper is soaked in water for sometime to make it damp. Then it is beaten and crushed by a stone till it becomes soft and homogenous pulp like material. Some adhesives, such as glue or starch are also used to make it strong and long lasting. Once the material is ready different moulds are used to make beautiful objects out of this paper. then these rough objects go to a papier mache workshop where a series of tasks are performed to get these rare and beautiful artefacts.
