ptfe is resistant to corrosion & all chemical even at very high temperatures & pressures. It has lowest coefficient of friction of all solid & rigid materials. Ptfe components can be used at temperatures ranging approx. -180c to +260 c. Ptfe has excellent electric properties which remain constant regardless of frequency & temperature. The basic material is ptfe but in order to assure an optimal function, a variety of fiiiers like carbon, giass, bronze & graphite can be added.
