types of animal feed product list :
1. Soybean meal
2. Cotton seeds & cotton seed oil cake (meal)
3. Rapeseed meal
4. Guar seeds meal
5. Maize meal
6. Peanut seeds meal
7. Brocken wheat ( for animal feed product )
8. Millet
9. Maize seeds
animal feed product is in details :
1. Soybean meal :
soybean meal also known as soyabean oil cake is a solid residue bi-product, flour, created after grinding the soybean to extract soybean oil. It is widely used as a filler and source of protein in animal diets, including pig, chicken, cattle, horse, sheep, and fish feed.
soybean meal is preferably made from high quality, sound, clean, dehulled yellow beans, since beans with a dark colored seed coat, or even beans with a dark hilum will inadvertently leave undesirable dark specks in the flour. All commercial soybeans in the united states are yellow or yellow brown.
soybean meal is the product remaining after extracting most of the oil from whole soybeans. The oil may be removed by solvent extraction or by an expeller process in which the beans are heated and squeezed. The nutrient composition of the oil extracted soybean meal 48 is shown in the table below.
soybean meal is high in protein and energy and is one of the most commonly used protein supplements in north america. It is a palatable feedstuff and may be used as the major protein supplement in rations for dairy cattle.
2.cotton seed meal :
cottonseed meal is the byproduct remaining after cotton is ginned and the seeds crushed and the oil extracted. The remaining meal is usually used for animal feed and in organic fertilizers. However, the meal can be fed only to adult ruminants because it contains a compound called gossypol. The compound is highly toxic to monogastrics and even sometimes to calves which are really pre-ruminants in terms of their developing digestive system.
cottonseed meal is a high protein by-product from the extraction of oil from whole cottonseed. There are two different processing methods used to extract the oil from the cottonseed, and they differ in the amount of oil (fat) they leave in the meal. The amount of oil left in the meal affects its energy value.
3. Rapeseeds meal :
rapeseed (brassica napus), also known as rape, oilseed rape, rapa, rappi, rapaseed (and, in the case of one particular group of cultivars, canola), is a bright yellow flowering member of the family brassicaceae (mustard or cabbage family). The name derives from the latin for turnip, rpa or rpum, and is first recorded in english at the end of the 14th century. Older writers usually distinguished the turnip and rape by the adjectives round and long (-rooted), respectively. Rutabagas, brassica napobrassica are sometimes considered a variety of brassica napus. Some botanists also include the closely related brassica campestris within b. Napus.
brassica napus is cultivated mainly for its oil-rich seed, the third largest source of vegetable oil in the world.
brassica napus is known by many common names in the english language. Some names have only been applied to certain subspecies (subsp.), forms (f.), or varieties (var.) of b. Napus. Note that brassica napus = brassica napus subsp. Napus = brassica napus subsp. Napus f. Napus; they are equivalents.
4. Guar seeds meal :
processed guar meal (fodder) is a high protein animal and poultry feed stuff. Processed guar meal (fodder) is a product made from the guar seed (cyamopsis tetragonoloba), a leguminous plant. It is produced in a mechanical milling process to separate the by-products (guar meal) from the endosperm (guar-splits) of the guar seed. The resulting guar meal has been toasted at high temperatures to remove the natural trypsin inhibitor in order to enhance its nutritive value and digestibility. It is rich in proteins and carbohydrates, and is a 100 % natural agricultural product without the addition of any chemicals or preservatives. A non-gmo product. Processed guar meal (fodder) can be used either in conjunction with other feed stuffs or by itself, as it is a complete nutritional feed. The guar splits collected earlier are taken to another facility dedicated to the extraction of the guar gum under strict quality control and according to international regulations as it is a product meant for human consumption.
during the split manufacturing process of guar, husk and germ are obtained. Both this are used as a valuable cattle feed as they are quite rich in protein. In international market these are popularly known as guar meal and are sold worldwide. Guar meals have contents of oil & albuminoids (o & a) which are about 50% in germ whereas it is about 25% in husks.
5. Maize meal :
maize known in some english-speaking countries as corn, is a large grain plant domesticated by indigenous peoples in mesoamerica in prehistoric times. The leafy stalk produces ears which contain the grain, which are seeds called kernels. Maize kernels are often used in cooking as a starch.
most historians believe corn was domesticated in the tehuacan valley of mexico. The olmec and mayans cultivated it in numerous varieties throughout mesoamerica, cooked, ground or processed through nixtamalization. Beginning about 2500 bc, the crop spread through much of the americas. The region developed a trade network based on surplus and varieties of maize crops. After european contact with the americas in the late 15th and early 16th centuries, explorers and traders carried maize back to europe and introduced it to other countries. Maize spread to the rest of the world because of its ability to grow in diverse climates. Sugar-rich varieties called sweet corn are usually grown for human consumption, while field corn varieties are used for animal feed and as chemical feedstocks.
maize is the most widely grown grain crop throughout the americas, with 332 million metric tons grown annually in the united states alone. Approximately 40% of the crop 130 million tons is used for corn ethanol. Genetically modified maize made up 85% of the maize planted in the united states in 2009.
6. Peanut seeds meal
peanut flour is made from crushed, fully or partly defatted peanuts. Peanut flour, depending on the quantity of fat removed, is highly protein-dense, providing up to 31.32g per cup (60g). Culinary professionals use peanut flour as a thickener for soups, a flavor and aromatic enhancer in breads, pastries and main dishes.
light roast light roast 12% fat is lightest in roast, aroma and in flavor of all of the peanut flours offered. It is used in applications where the peanut flour is not needed for flavor. Light roast with 28% fat provides a light flavor and aroma to dishes. It is used in culinary dishes where only a subtle flavor is needed.
dark roast the dark roast peanut flours provide a robust peanut taste and aroma. Both roasts are used when a strong peanut flour is wanted in the culinary dish. The dark roast 12% fat is less in flavor than the 28% fat.
the peanut, or groundnut (arachis hypogaea), is a species in the legume or bean family (fabaceae). The peanut was probably first domesticated and cultivated in the valleys of paraguay. It is an annual herbaceous plant growing 30 to 50 cm (1.0 to 1.6 ft) tall. The leaves are opposite, pinnate with four leaflets (two opposite pairs; no terminal leaflet); each leaflet is 1 to 7 cm ( to 2 in) long and 1 to 3 cm ( to 1 inch) across.
7. Brocken wheat ( for animal feed product ) :
wheat grain is grown on more land area than any other commercial food.[citation needed] world trade in wheat is greater than for all other crops combined. Globally, wheat is the leading source of vegetable protein in human food, having a higher protein content than other major cereals, maize (corn) or rice. In terms of total production tonnages used for food, it is currently second to rice as the main human food crop and ahead of maize, after allowing for maizes more extensive use in animal feeds. Along with this wheat can be used in cement
wheat was a key factor enabling the emergence of city-based societies at the start of civilization because it was one of the first crops that could be easily cultivated on a large scale, and had the additional advantage of yielding a harvest that provides long-term storage of food. Wheat contributed to the emergence of city-states in the fertile crescent, including the babylonian and assyrian empires. Wheat grain is a staple food used to make flour for leavened, flat and steamed breads, biscuits, cookies, cakes, breakfast cereal, pasta, noodles, couscous and for fermentation to make beer, other alcoholic beverages, or biofuel.
wheat is planted to a limited extent as a forage crop for livestock, and its straw can be used as a construction material for roofing thatch. The whole grain can be milled to leave just the endosperm for white flour. The by-products of this are bran and germ. The whole grain is a concentrated source of vitamins, minerals, and protein, while the refined grain is mostly starch.
8. Millet :
millets are a group of highly variable small-seeded grasses, widely grown around the world as cereal crops or grains for both human food and fodder. They do not form a taxonomic group, but rather a functional or agronomic one. Millets are important crops in the semi-arid tropics of asia and africa (especially in india, nigeria, and niger), with 97% of millet production in developing countries.the crop is favored due to its productivity and short growing season under dry, high temperature conditions.
the most widely grown millet is pearl millet, which is an important sized crop in india and parts of africa. Finger millet, proso millet, and foxtail millet are also important crop species. In the developed world, millets are less important. For example, in the united states the only significant crop is proso millet, which is mostly grown for bird seed.
while millets are indigenous to many parts of the world, millets most likely had an evolutionary origin in tropical western africa, as that is where the greatest number of both wild and cultivated forms exist. Millets have been important food staples in human history, particularly in asia and africa, and they have been in cultivation in east asia for the last 10, 000 years.
9. Maize seeds :
maize is preferred in formal, scientific, and international usage because it refers specifically to this one grain, unlike corn, which has a complex variety of meanings that vary by context and geographic region.maize is used by agricultural bodies and research institutes such as the faq and csiro. National agricultural and industry associations often include the word maize in their name even in english-speaking countries where the local, informal word is something other than maize; for example, the maize association of australia, the indian maize development association, the kenya maize consortium and maize breeders network, the national maize association of nigeria, the zimbabwe seed maize association. However, in commodities trading, corn consistently refers to maize and not other grains.
the maize plant is often 2.5 m (meters) (8 ft) in height, though some natural strains can grow 12 m (40 ft).the stem has the appearance of a bamboo cane and is commonly composed of 20 internodes of 18 cm (7 in) length. A leaf grows from each node, which is generally 9 cm (3.5 in) in width and 120 cm (4 ft) in length.

The whole grain is a concentrated source of vitamins, minerals, and protein, while the refined grain is mostly starch.
Cultivation and repeated harvesting and sowing of the grains of wild grasses led to the creation of domestic strains, as mutant forms (sports) of wheat were preferentially chosen by farmers. In domesticated wheat, grains are larger, and the seeds (inside the spikelets) remain attached to the ear by a toughened rachis during harvesting. In wild strains, a more fragile rachis allows the ear to easily shatter and disperse the spikelets. Selection for these traits by farmers might not have been deliberately intended, but simply have occurred because these traits made gathering the seeds easier; nevertheless such incidental selection was an important part of crop domestication. As the traits that improve wheat as a food source also involve the loss of the plants natural seed dispersal mechanisms, highly domesticated strains of wheat cannot survive in the wild.
Cultivation of wheat began to spread beyond the Fertile Crescent after about 8000 BCE. Jared Diamond traces the spread of cultivated emmer wheat starting in the Fertile Crescent about 8500 BCE. Archaeological analysis of wild emmer indicates that it was first cultivated in the southern Levant with finds at Iran dating back as far as 9600 BCE. Genetic analysis of wild einkorn wheat suggests that it was first grown in the Karacadag Mountains in southeastern Turkey. Dated archeological remains of einkorn wheat in settlement sites near this region, including those at Abu Hureyra in Syria, suggest the domestication of einkorn near the Karacadag Mountain Range. With the anomalous exception of two grains from Iraq ed-Dubb, the earliest carbon-14 date for einkorn wheat remains at Abu Hureyra is 7800 to 7500 years BCE.
Remains of harvested emmer from several sites near the Karacadag Range have been dated to between 8600 (at Cayonu) and 8400 BCE (Abu Hureyra), that is, in the Neolithic period. With the exception of Iraq ed-Dubb, the earliest carbon-14 dated remains of domesticated emmer wheat were found in the earliest levels of Tell Aswad, in the Damascus basin, near Mount Hermon in Syria. These remains were dated by Willem van Zeist and his assistant Johanna Bakker-Heeres to 8800 BCE. They also concluded that the settlers of Tell Aswad did not develop this form of emmer themselves, but brought the domesticated grains with them from an as yet unidentified location elsewhere.
The cultivation of emmer reached Greece, Cyprus and India by 6500 BCE, Egypt shortly after 6000 BCE, and Germany and Spain by 5000 BCE. The early Egyptians were developers of bread and the use of the oven and developed baking into one of the first large-scale food production industries. By 3000 BCE, wheat had reached England and Scandinavia. A millennium later it reached China. The first identifiable bread wheat (Triticum aestivum) with sufficient gluten for yeasted breads has been identified using DNA analysis in samples from a granary dating to approximately 1350 BCE at Assiros in Greek Macedonia.
Wheat continued to spread throughout Europe. In England, wheat straw (thatch) was used for roofing in the Bronze Age, and was in common use until the late 19th century.
