Solubility: Soluble in chloroform, in ether & in light petroleum (boiling range 40-60 °C), the solution. sometimes showing a slight opalescence, insoluble in ethanol 95%) & in water. Acidity or Alkalinity: Neutral. Light Absorption: Not more than 0.5%. Melting Range: 38°C to 56 °C Fixed oils, fats & resins: No ppt or oily matter is produced. Foreign organic matter: Volatilizes when heated, without emitting any acid order. Consistency: Between 100 & 300 Sulphated Ash: Not more than 0.1% Total Volatile Matter: Less Than 5% Poly Nuclear Aromatic Hydrocarbon: Complies.
