  • Application Food
  • Feature Good For Health

Black pepper (Piper nigrum) is a flowering vine in the family Piperaceae, cultivated for its fruit which is usually dried and used as a spice and seasoning. When fresh and fully mature, it is approximately 5 millimetres (0.20 in) in diameter and dark red, and contains a single seed like all drupes. Potassium, the mineral in black pepper, helps improve your stomach's ability to digest foods and promotes intestinal health. Because black pepper is a carminative, it discourages intestinal gas from forming, and as a bonus, the outer layer of the peppercorn aids in the break-down of fat cells. The best way to eat pepper to harness maximum benefits is to eat freshly ground pepper, and not cook it along with food. 2. Stimulates digestion: Again, the piperine in black pepper eases digestion and stimulates the stomach, which then secretes more hydrochloric acid that helps to digest proteins in food. Black pepper and white pepper are made from the Piper nigrum plant. Black pepper is ground from dried, whole unripe fruit. White pepper is ground from dried, ripe fruit that has had the outer layer removed. The black pepper and white pepper powder are used to make medicine. Potential Use in Weight Loss. Though it might not directly cut belly fat, black pepper is a welcome addition to a calorie-controlled fat-loss diet. A teaspoon of pepper has only 8 calories but offers tons of flavour, which makes it a lower-cal substitute for marinades and sauces.

This pickle is made with small, organic chillies which are deceptively power packed with sweet pungency. No bigger than half an inch at their biggest, it is said that the smaller the birds eye chilli, the hotter its bite! This pickle is made in typical northeast style with basic spices preserved in mustard oil to let the small chilies stand out. Birds eye chilli, as is with other chillies, originated from Mexico and is now cultivated in other parts the world. In India, it grows in the north-eastern region and in the southern state of Kerala. It is cultivated in most of the north-eastern states, particularly in Assam, Mizoramm and Meghalaya. The Birds Eye chilli is well known in the region for its heat level, which sort of contradicts its tiny size. However, unlike other hot chillies, this chilli is accompanied by a unique appetizing aroma and a distinct flavour. In these states, the people also enjoy it in the form of pickles. Using birds eye chilli to make a product can be challenging. It must match with the palate of our customer. And, for a diverse country like India where food habits changes from state to state.

It is an annual or perennial herb or woody-based subshrub, growing to 22.5 m (78 ft) tall. Hibiscus tea is a herbal tea made as an infusion from crimson or deep magenta-coloured calyces (sepals) of the roselle (Hibiscus sabdariffa) flower. It is consumed both hot and cold. It has a tart, cranberry-like flavour, and sugar or honey is often added to sweeten it. The tea contains vitamin C and minerals and is used traditionally as a mild medicine. In west Sudan a white hibiscus flower is favoured for its bitter taste and is customarily served to guests. This tea contains 15-30% organic acids, including citric acid, malic acid, and tartaric acid. It also contains acidic polysaccharides and flavonoid glycosides, such as cyanidin and delphinidin, that give it its characteristic deep red colour.

The Bhut Jolokia, also known as ghost pepper, ghost chili, U-morok, red naga, naga jolokia and ghost jolokia, is an interspecific hybrid chili pepper cultivated in the Northeast Indian states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Nagaland and Manipur. It is a hybrid of Capsicum chinense and Capsicum frutescens and is closely related to the Naga Morich of Bangladesh. Bhut jolokia is used as a food and a spice, as well as a remedy to summer heat. It is used in both fresh and dried forms, to "heat up" curries, pickles and chutneys. It is popularly used in combination with pork or dried or fermented fish. In north-eastern India, the peppers are smeared on fences or incorporated in smoke bombs as a safety precaution to keep wild elephants at a distance. The pepper's intense heat makes it a fixture in competitive chili pepper eating. (From Wikipedia)
