Totapuri mango is a highly popular commercial mango variety known for its distinct parrot-beak shape, firm flesh, thick skin, and mildly tangy taste. It is widely preferred because of its versatile use in fresh eating, juice production, pulp industry, and pickle preparation. The fruit has less fiber, high pulp recovery, and excellent keeping quality, making it suitable for bulk trade and processing.

Totapuri mangoes are especially valued for raw mango pickles, as their firm texture and balanced sourness give excellent taste and shelf life in pickle preparation. At the same time, semi-ripe and ripe Totapuri mangoes are used for fresh consumption, slices, juices, nectar, concentrates, and mango pulp processing.
