Typical operating areas are workshops and warehouses, loading and unloading of machines as well as construction of jigs and fixtures.Factors that reduce the magnetic clamping force:-Air gap: High magnetic forces created by the TPM allow the magnet to clamp components through the air gap, however, air gaps will reduce the magnetic performance as they provide a barrier between the contact surfaces. Air gaps occur in a number of different ways such as paint, dust and heavy mill scale. Poorly machined surfaces also constitute an air gap. Please down rate the magnet capacity in accordance with the adhesive forceair gap diagram below.Material thickness: If the TPM is used to lift plates thinner than the recommended minimum thickness, the clamping forces will be significantly reduced. Performance curves can be identified in conjunction with the adhesive forceflat thickness diagram below: Contact area: Full lifting capacity can only be achieved when the magnet has full contact area with the component being lifted. If the contact surface has holes in or is uneven then the performance will be affected accordingly. The MRC Multi-rail grabs have been designed to facilitate the fast bulk handling of ALL rail sections.The features and applications of the MRC Multi-rail grabs are similar to that of the MR Multi-rail clamps but with the added benefit of having interchangeable, modular designed comb sections. The THM manual magnetic claws are used for manually transporting steel sheets horizontally and vertically. They can also be used for lifting plates from racks, pulling sheets out of shelving and transporting almost any steel plates that are magnetic.These clamps are capable of carrying plate with a thickness of 1 - 5 mm and are totally maintenance free.They operate by simply placing the claw on to the material. The MR Multi-rail grabs have been designed to facilitate the fast bulk handling of a specific rail section (details to be advised at time of order).Rails are locked onto the clamp by swivelling feet that locate under the rail-head and top clamp body that rotates in a cam action pressing a hard rubber lined horizontal beam onto the top of the rail-head.The rubber lined contact beam prevents marking or damage to the rail-head. Two clamps are recommended at centres of 50 to 60% of rail length for rails up to 20 mtr long. For rails longer than 20 mtr, three clamps at centre distance between outer clamps of 65 to 75% of rail length must be used. (NB. Clamp must be within rated WLL).Rails to be lifted must be stacked with bottom flange toes touching. All rails must be of the same rail section size.
