APPLICATIONS:impregnated diamond dresseris quite similar to that of multipoint diamond dresser. In the dresser the crushed diamond grit in both natural & synthetic grades are set in a several layers in random pattern. With this type of tool, the dressing work is carried out by several small diamonds which together result in excellent performance. To achieve good results, the diamond particles must have at least double the grinding wheel grain to be dressed. Tools with higher diamond content are more efficient in this case. These tools are more suitable for fine and sensitive grinding wheels where a lower surface finish is required.

TO GET MAXIMUM TOOL LIFE:Multi Point Diamond Dressersconsists of number of natural diamonds of a good crystal character fixed into a special wear resistant bond. The diamonds can be arranged in different pattern in single layers or multiple layers depending upon the field of operation. Several diamond points in contact with the wheel face reduce the unit pressure on each point resulting in a longer tool life with full utilization. Multipoint is used for large wide grinding wheels.
TheSingle Point Diamond Dresseris more versatile dressing tool, which is used for turning and dressing of grinding wheel. They are made of carefully selected raw diamonds mounted in holders by means of special bonds. The dressing tool takes care of two main functions, it removes abrasive grains which have become completely worn out, and it recreates the correct geometric shape of the grinding wheel. We offer 3 grades to refinish the wheel, when the wheel becomes dull. The pores between the grains become loaded with the material ground.
The selection of the diamonds depends upon the dimension of grinding wheel, its hardness grit size, abrasive type, and individual dressing operation. We recommend the following thumb rule for selecting the size of diamond
(Radius of wheel+width) x 0.004 = Carat size of diamond (1 Carat = 0.2 gm)
