Raw salt storage tanks are used to handle rigors of salt. These tanks find solutions for storing different kinds of raw salt granulates and salt powders.
Vibro cleaner provides an air wash of the salt in order to remove the dust and other particles. It causes dispersion stirring & stratification of salt to be sifted. It delivers optimum performance in which the deck inclination, stroke and angle of throw are adjustable.
Crude salt is pre-washed in special washing system. This is then fed to the feed in hopper of the wet mill for grinding. Wet mill is used to grind the salt with the help of saturated brine solution. This mixture is then passed to the slurry tank that is fitted with a slow speed agitator. This slurry is then pumped through centrifuges gear pump to the wash tank by a slurry pump, wherein dirt is removed from the slurry.
Washing tank is used to washing out the residue from the crude salt. Washing process helps removal of fine impurities and washes out from the bottom of the tank.
Elutriation tank:
Elutriation tanks are similar to thickeners, with the difference that a large volume of water is added to the sludge at the tank intake. Elutriation Tank separates particles based on their size, shape and density. In many cases, two tanks for the dirt to be elutriated and the washing water respectively are installed ahead of the elutriation tank on the feed line, so that the rate of dilution can be monitored easily.
Thickener Washing tank:
Thickener washing tank is a major component in the salt plant layout. As a feed stream enters the thickener, the solids settle to the bottom. Clarified liquor overflows to the top and settled solids underflow is removed from the bottom. The primary purpose of thickening is to increase the solids concentration of the feed stream.
Hydraulic pusher centrifuge is used to fulfil the task of separation in the salt plant. Its strengths are most evident for special process requirements: low crystal breakage and abrasion, intensive solids wash and minimum wear.
