For this purpose several black bulb, bimetallic & dial type thermometer are used which almost lose their accuracy at temperatures above 65c. To overcome this problem lakshmi meerut in joint effort with rdso lucknow has developed a highly accurate magnetic base rail thermometer which record the reading of the rail temperature within 3 minutes, with an accuracy of + 1.0c. The size of thermometer is so designed that it can be housed in the pocket of the gang man.
