CIS Comercio is an exporter of Sri Lankan fresh pineapple currently catering to Middle East, Maldivesand Europe markets. Located in Kelaniya area the company commenced its operations in 2012 as a collaboration of two young entrepreneurs whose vision was to make a platform for agricultural farmers to drive their products to international markets. Pineapples are sourced via company's associate supplier who is located in Gampaha district which is one of the two most predominant areas of pineapple cultivation in Sri Lanka accounting for 35% of the hectares cultivated throughout the country thus allowing the supplier to be in operations for over 20 years in both local and export markets. The company swears on its best quality crops to buyers as pineapples are sourced from the island's best zones and well experienced farmers who have been engaged in the activities for decades. Once sourced packaging process is taken place in the warehouse by skilled labor and each element in the process is taken care of till the cargo is dispatched to the airport. Extensive attention is given to ensure that the best quality reaches our clientele therefore building up a sustainable relationship whilst allowing them to access world's best Sri Lankan Pineapple. Sri Lankan fresh pineapple export volumes have increased 200% YoY in 2013 to 1.4mn Kilograms from 2012 numbers and for the first half of 2014 volumes have almost surpassed 1.4mn kilograms just in six months. This is evidence to the growing export demand due to sweet pineapple cultivated only in Sri Lanka.
