Washing and separator systems- Components and Working   A sink float tank equipped with a hydro cyclone that separates the light floating polyolefin from the heavier materials(mainly PET). A washing machine with both fixed and rotating knives that create agitation which separates dirt and adhesives from the scrap in cold water. The second sink float tank includes a hydro cyclone that carries out the final separation of the remaining glue particles and polyolefin’sfrom the lighter materials released during the washing process. The centrifuge performs the final process that allows the product to have 2-3% residual moisture.   The Lunarmech advantage Use of cold water – Usual chemical additives like detergent or soda are not used. Production of granular plastic materials can generate(mainly during start-up and shut-down) faulty fractions in the form of excess length particles . These outsizes can cause trouble in subsequent plastics processing, in particular during extrusion, and must therefore be removed from the granular material.Therefore,   Lunarmech  has developed its extensive range of Classifiers to effectively address this issue. Our Methodology To cause the excess length particles to slip flat across the screen apertures, a directional vibration is imparted to the screen deck, using gravitation to help convey the material. A blank deck is located in the feeding area for smoothing the screen feed and levelling the excess length particles. Perforated plates with a smooth surface and rows of holes staggered in the direction of conveyance are used as screen decks. Our machines have a slightly inclined screen and vibrating motors mounted laterally at a small angle of incidence. This enables screening to take place at a very low vertical acceleration, ensuring flat conveyance of excess length particles. The vibrating motor can be pivoted through a given angle for optimum adaptation to the fed rate. Pelletizing is a very important process in the production of polymer pellet production, which involves converting molten polymer into pellets. The conversion process may involve water, air or any other media as a cooling intermediate. Allowance is made for the resistance time and cutting the polymer according to its Vicat point. In the pelletizing process, in many cases the pellet cutting operation occurs underwater- in particular with the USG strand pelletizing and SPHERO underwater pelletizing systems.
