The term 'Fabrication' applies to operations, such as: cuttings, stamping and punching of natural sheet mica to specified size, shape, thickness and design within close dimensional tolerance for electrical and electronic end-users.
Normally, mica is fabricated with compound dies by foot or power punch process, especially if the finished piece contained perforation of any kind. A compound die punches the outside shape and all the inside holes with one stroke of the press most accurately. The compound die necessary for stamping natural sheet mica may be grouped in two general categories. One category comprises the highly complex dies required to produce Mica Spacers containing a number of perforations in various sizes and shapes for use in electronic tubes. The extremely critical dimensions and spacing of the perforations can be obtained only with fully designed and accurately constructed dies.

In the 1960s, Dr. Asao Shimanishi, a noted scientist and doctor from Japan, discovered after decades of research, that the rock that contained the most abundant minerals is black mica. Black mica (also known as biotite) is found in a wide variety of igneous and metamorphic rocks.
He has demonstrated how he can easily take whole ponds or lakes that are filthy, murky and contaminated [with the black mica extract] — and within one hour, transform the water, making it pristine, crystal clear and potable. And the water would thereafter stay fresh and clean permanently because the contaminants never re-dissolve in water once the water is treated.
Dr. Shimanishi also discovered that the minerals he extracted from black mica rocks from north of Tokyo had a tremendous healing and nourishing power. He invented a patented way to extract minerals from black mica and maintain them in an ionized form. As a result, people who ate vegetables fertilized with the ionized water became healthier and rejuvenated. This rejuvenative effect may well stem from the fact that the human body consists of the same foundational building blocks as black mica.

In welding electrodes a core of steel wire is coated uniformly with a “flux” comprising mica as a lagging compound. The mica coating provides two distinctive types of protection to the welding rods. Firstly, it serves in forming a fusible slag and a good seal at the fusion zone on the arc. Secondly, it resists the action of the heat, gaseous and other surrounding atmospheric oxidization. Nothing can substitute Mica for the above application. In fact, it is the nature of mica coating that largely determines the quality of welding electrodes.

Biotite is a name used for a large group of Black Mica For Water Purification minerals that are commonly found in igneous and metamorphic rocks. These include: annite, phlogopite, siderophyllite, fluorophlogopite, fluorannite, eastonite and many others. These micas vary in chemical composition but are all sheet silicate minerals with very similar physical properties.
A generalized chemical composition for the biotite group isK (Mg, Fe) 2-3Al1-2Si2-3O10 (OH, F)2
The name "biotite" is used in the field and in entry-level geology courses because these minerals generally can not be distinguished without optical, chemical or x-ray analysis.
Biotite is a primary mineral found in a wide range of crystalline igneous rocks such as granite, diorite, gabbro, peridotite andpegmatite. It also forms under metamorphic conditions when argillaceous rocks are exposed to heat and pressure to form schist and gneiss. Although biotite is not very resistant to weathering and transforms into clay minerals, it is sometimes found in sediments and sandstones.
