Eucalyptus oil is extracted from the leaves of Eucalyptus tree by using steam distillation process. It is an essential oil, also known as Eucalypti Aetheroleum, Cineole, Oleum Eucalypti, Essence of Eucalyptus Rectifiee and Essencia de Eucalipto. The oil is having a clear thin appearance with colorless to light yellow liquid. It gives a soothing, cooling, fresh and champhoraceous fragrance. Cineole (Eucalyptol) is considered as the chief active ingredient of this oil. Besides this, medicinal Eucalyptus oil also contains terpenes, pinene and small quantities of phellandrene. The taste of this oil is cooling, spicy and pungent. It is easily soluble in alcohol and other essential oils but insoluble in water.

Geranium Oil is extracted from the leaves of the Geranium plant by using steam distillation method. Geranium plants are inhabitants of South Africa and Reunion, Morocco, Madagascar and Morocco. About 300-500 kg of plants are required in order to extract 1 kg of geranium oil and thats the reason it is so expensive. The botanical name of the Geranium oil is Pelargonium bourbon and it is also known as Pelargonium terebinthinaceum and Geranium terebinthinaceum. Its Latin name is Geranium Bourbon Essential Oil. It is a greenish yellow colour liquid that is easily soluble in alcohols and essential oils. It blends well with neroli, lemon, lavender, jasmine, grapefruit, juniper, lemongrass, nutmeg, basil, Clary sage, Citronella, Bergamot and fennel. Some primary constituents of Geranium oil are a rose oxide, Citronellyl formate, linalool, geraniol, geranyl formate, Citronellol, Isomenthone, geranyl tiglate, geranyl butyrate, eudesmol, caryophyllene, guaia-6 and 9-diene.

Lavender Oil is a kind of essential oil that is obtained from flowers spikes of lavender. Two kinds of lavender oils are obtained. One is Lavender flower oil and other is Lavender spike oil. Essential oil from lavender is extracted from Lavendula latifolia herb. This botanic herb is the member of lamiaceae family of Lamiales order. It is perennial herbaceous plant which grows annually and its leafs shapes vary according to different species. It grows in stony and sunny habitat. Lavender Oil has a light fresh aroma, it has fragrance that is described as floral- herbaceous, light, clear, balsamic and has woody undertones.

Lemon Grass is thin, tall perennial plant which throws up its dense fascicles of leaves from a small rhizome. Botanically, lemon grass is known as Cymbopogon lexuosus and is a kind of aromatic tall sedge belonging to Poaceae family. Lemon grass is fast growing aromatic grass which is mostly cultivated in warm temperate region. Lemon grass is generally called barbed wire grass, silky heads, tangled etc. Lemon grass oil is a type of essential oil which is extracted from grasses of lemon through steam distillation method. Lemon grass oil varies from dark yellow to amber to reddish in color. It has thin water like consistency and has a lemony, fresh and sweet smell.

Sweet orange is botanically known as Citrus sinensis which belongs to Rutaceae family. Oil of Sweet Orange is extracted by the means of cold pressing of sweet pulp, non- bitter membrane, and peels. This essential oil has thin consistency with top perfumery notes and gives the greenish orange appearance. It possesses slightly concentrated citrusy, sweet aroma that is reminiscent to that of orange peels. A sweet orange tree is mostly cultivated in most of the countries. It is an evergreen flowering tree that usually attains a height of 10 meters. Its leaves are arranged alternately and are ovate in shape with crenulated margins. Orange fruit is hesperidium that is it is a kind of berry.

Peppermint oil is an essential oil which is extracted through steam distillation process from the partially dried top of the Peppermint plants. Peppermint or Mentha piperita is a cross between water-mint and spearmint. It is a perennial plant that can grow from 12 to 35 inch tall. The stem and leaves of this plant are hairy and its flowers are purple in color. It grows rapidly when the supply of water is good, and also in shady areas. As the flowering starts at the top of the plant, leaves are collected and dried to extract the essential oil. The cultivated plants are always much better for the purpose in comparison to the wild peppermint plants.

Rosemary is a woody perennial herb that has evergreen fragrant needle-like leaves. Botanically identified as Rosmarinus officinalis, Rosemary is a habitat of Mediterranean region and belongs to Lamiaceae family of Lamiales order. It is angiosperm that produces numerous color ranges of flowers. Depending on the type of species Rosemary bears white to pink or purple to blue colored flowers. This decorative plant grows about 1.5 meters to 2 meters and has aromatic lush green leaves similar to pine leaves. They are needle-like, just 2- 5 mm broad and long about 1.6 inches long. It has dense short woolly hairs. Flowers of Rosemary bloom in summers in a warm climate.

Ylang Ylang oil is prepared through Water distillation or Steam distillation of freshly picked flowers of Ylang Ylang. The non- toxic and non-sensitizing Ylang Ylang Oil is yellow coloured liquid and has a sweet and exotic odour. Botanically, Ylang Ylang is known as Cananga odorata and belongs to Annonaceae family. It is perennial tropical plant and heightens up to 20 meters having big and tender leaves. The tree bears flowers which range from pink to yellow or mauve in colour. Ylang Ylang Oil is considered a crown jewel and is extra prized for its wonderful floral notes. Ylang Ylang Oil is available in 3 types of distillation which has a more bourbon-like scent.
