The i-Series spectrometers have been designed to deliver high-performance at low limits while not compromising on economy and footprint. Capable of analyzing 40+ elements and with low-single PPM limits of detection for each, i-Series spectrometers are ideal for a wide range of quality-conscious users. Being CCD-based, there is never any need for hardware upgrades, even if new elements, bases or matrices are to be added post-purchase, with additions being simple and possible to do even on-site!
Pure Metal Producerssuch as those in Lead, Copper, Zinc etc. require spectrometers to be capable of analysis with very low detection limits to meet their testing needs. TheMetavision-1008i3has detection limits that assure high performance for such users. With
Commercial laboratoriescater to a whole host of industries, often analysing several hundreds of samples daily for different bases, matrices etc. For such laboratories, having a spectrometer with high throughput, low operating costs and wide range of covered elements and detection ranges is essential to ensure satisfaction of a varied clientele with varied applications. TheMetavision-1008i3has a rapid analysis time assuring high throughput and detection limits ranging from single and low PPM for pure metals to very high levels to cover any and every alloy, making it the ideal solution for such users.

The patented D-Scan optics of the have been designed to ensure high resolution and enable lower limits of detection with high precision and repeatability. By providing Virtual Extra detectors, D-Scan optics directly double the instruments resolution while using fewer detectors, thereby making instruments more compact and yet more economical and far more stable. In terms of performance this translates into the capability to offer much lower detection limits across elements.
TheMetavision-1008ihas proven capabilities across analysis of pure metals and alloys of Lead, Aluminium, Copper and many other bases. In ferrous metals, theMetavision-1008iis ideal for the analysis of Stainless Steels (including Nitrogen in Duplex and other Steels), Low Alloy Steels (including low detection limits for Nitrogen), Heat-resistant Stainless Steels and Cast Iron / S.G. Iron / Ductile Iron (including analysis of Zinc). With detection limits as low as 10 PPM for all key elements like Carbon, Sulphur, Manganese etc., the Metavision-1008i is a powerful Laboratory-grade solution to almost every requirement in metals industries.

Specialty alloy makershave a great need for confidentiality of composition making commercial labs a less attractive option even if testing volumes are not too large. Further, they require a wide range of elements to be analysed and often with detection limits in the 5-20 ppm range. TheMetavision-1008iis ideally placed to meet the needs of such manufacturers, covering 35+ elements with low detection limits for each.

TheMetavision N-Seriesspectrometers are the product of sustained R&D based on our customers inputs. Within extremely compact frames, these instruments pack a substantial punch, featuring latest-generation digital pulsed current controlled sources, ultra-high-resolution CCD detectors and cutting-edge optics systems that fully exploit the capabilities of the latest technologies in detectors, gratings and also electronics and processing systems.
The combination of these results in a spectrometer that is ideal for most industrial and Laboratory application needs. TheN-Seriesspectrometers are extremely powerful and yet highly flexible. Carrying by the same operating and applications software suite that powers the high-end X-Series and i-Series spectrometers, the N-Series offers multiple advanced features including analysis of Nitrogen in Steels. Aside from routine applications to analyse pure metals and alloys, there is also a range of proven special applications including thin foils, special tool steel, wires, rings, coins, pig iron and several more. Our Applications Lab can also design custom applications on-demand to meet specific customer requirements.
Foundries with multiple lines, say, for ferrous and non-ferrous alloy castings, can easily afford to have one spectrometer each for each production line, leading to savings in time, costs, mix-ups, at the same time as keeping quality matters uppermost in their list of priorities.
Alloy manufacturerscan save substantial amounts in cost by getting the mix just right. Even small savings in percentage terms could mean millions over the year. For such users, theN-Seriesspectrometers offer the ability to
Medium-sized industriestypically face a dilemma when evaluating OES procurement. The prospect of high capital costs can be daunting and there is always the temptation to utilize external labs. This however compromises time as well as confidentiality leading to an attempt to rationalize testing which then has an adverse impact on the customer base that can be targeted. With their wide elemental range, (including N in steels), the N-Series
Large plantstypically have multiple spectrometers of varying capabilities each meeting specific testing needs. Any downtime however is extremely damaging, resulting in inventory pile-ups and time delays. Having backup or standby units of similar calibre to the main units is however a very expensive proposition. The N-Series offers the ideal solution for such users offering a robust backup to those that use higher-end OESes like the i-Series or X-Series as their main production units.

Several metal applications most particularly in recycling and scrap, but also frequently in routine metal processing or incoming / outgoing QC require a spectrometer to be mobile and call for a probe as opposed to standard sample stands that feature on stationary spectrometers. Positive Material Identification (PMI) is one such application which is of growing importance. If a material certificate is missing, material is mixed up or it is not clear what the composition of a material is, PMI offers a quick and accurate solution. Similarly, one-click pass/fail assessment is an essential tool to enable quick scrap sorting / segregation or grade identification.
Built with such applications in mind, theMetavision M-Seriesspectrometers come equipped with hand-held probes and trolleys that are easy to move to the goods as opposed to carrying samples to a Lab. Rugged enough to withstand shopfloor stresses and provide fatigue-free operations across a range of environmental and working conditions, these spectrometers also come equipped with long-life batteries enabling several hours of sustained usage even in places without power supply sources.
Users dealing with extremely large components, such as those in ship-building or breaking face a unique situation wherein its virtually impossible to take the parts to the lab given their sheer size.
Large shop-floors and stockyardsoften see vast amounts of material stored in multiple places and generally without accompanying certificates. In such scenarios, the mobile OES offers an easy way to test the grade of the material.
Users who buy scrap for raw materialneed rapid and on-site grade testing to select or reject material. The PMI function of the M-series spectrometers is ideally suited to the needs of such users. With on-probe display for Pass/Fail and rapid analysis times of just a few seconds, the M-Series spectrometers offer such users the optimal solution to meet their grade testing needs.
