Mineral Turpentine Oil (MTO) (LAWS) is a special boiling point spirit meeting Solvent 145/205 under BIS 1745-1978. Mineral Turpentine Oil is also known by names like Spirit, White spirit and Turpentine. Mineral Turpentine Oil is clear and water-white in color. Mineral Turpentine Oil consists of volatile fraction derived from petroleum and is composed essentially of paraffinic, naphthenic and aromatic hydrocarbons in varying proportions. Mineral Turpentine Oils solvent power is used to dissolve say resins, rubber and bitumen. Mineral Turpentine Oil also reduces the viscosity of the solutions produced.
