About Copra Dryer

Copra dryers are suitable for drying very efficiently. Traditional method of drying is usually sun drying which produces low quality oil. Our dryers offer the benefit of high quality oil and reduced drying time. Our principle of drying is by using a heat exchanger that produces hot air which is diverted by a blower to a copra drying chamber via a duct. The fluid to be heated which is air is sucked through the narrow circular opening on the outer chamber. The brick oven is heated using dried coconut husk or any other fuel which in turn heats the steel enclosure of the oven. Fresh air is passed through the inner chamber thereby absorbing heat from the steel enclosure of the oven and finally passes through the blower casing and into the copra chamber. In order to minimize heat loss ducts are covered in heat insulations material such as fibre glass or mineral wool thereby maintaing average temperature in the chamber. Digital heat indicator system displays the temperature inside the chamber as well as in the blower casing.All materials used for construction of dryer and smoke chimney are of high grade mild steel with proportional thickness. Our offer is not only limited to the dryer but we also undertake the civil works for constructing the drying chamber as well. We offer high quality fire bricks and high grade grills for the chamber so that heat losses are minimized along with superior strength for supporting the nuts.

How it Works?

The heat exchanger portion consists of two distinct chambers. The inner chamber enclosing the oven which is the source of heat and the outer chamber which is the source of outside air. The heat exchange principle is basically indirect type contact transferring heat to the surrounding air by conduction and convection methods.

About Screwpress Coconut Milk Extractor

This equipment serves the purpose of extracting coconut milk using screw press technology. The machine is very user-friendly, reliable and robust and requires low power and labour.The rotational speed is very moderate ensuring a noise free and positive working environment. All contact parts of the machine are SS304 which is resistant to corrosion and food safe. The byproduct which is the dessicated coconut powder can be used as an ingredient in food and bakery products and has a commercial value.

How it Works?

Separation takes place inside a cylindrical drum surrounded by a mesh to filter any residual coconut gratings. The screw conveyer is fixed at both sides by strong bearings inside the drum. Coconut gratings are dropped at the feed hopper which is transported by the screw conveyer to the other sided of the drum squeezing the gratings during the process. The separated coconut milk will fall through the mesh and will be collected at the collecting pan. The residual sludge will be collected at the opposite side of the drum.

The centrifugal milk extractor has a cloth sack that rotates at high speed.The sack is filled with coconut meat and due to high centrifugal forces the milk is separated from the meat. However the meat is not fully extracted and the residue from the sack if fed to a Screw Press extrator that effectively squeezes out the remaining milk that is contained in the residue. How it Works?

The pulverizer consists of an encased rotor carrying hammers that are capable of crushing and grinding the coconut meat into fine powders. A fine mesh underneath the rotor casing filters the coconut gratings. The fine coconut powder is collected at the collecting area below the mesh.

This equipment serves the purpose of extracting Virgin Coconut Oil from coconut milk.The centrifuge marks the final stage in the process of extracting VCO and as the name implies centrifugal method is used for this process. A unique feature of this process is that it utilizes non heat method of extraction also called cold processing. Heated methods can destroy many vital nutrients that act as natural preservatives during storage. Cold processing technology retains oils natural properties and nutritional values. All contact parts of the machine are SS304 which is resistant to corrosion and food safe.

How it Works?

Coconut milk if fed at the inlet located at the bottom of the bowl. The bowl is connected to a motor and separation takes place inside the rotating bowl at a speed of 15, 000 rpm.The basic principle is that the difference in densities of two immiscible liquids forces the liquid with higher density outside the rotation axis. The heavier liquid phase is forced towards the bowl while the light phase is force inside. Special openings at the top of the bowl separate Virgin Coconut Oil and water at two outlets at the top corresponding to the light phase which is water and the heavy phase which Virgin coconut oil. The Virgin coconut oil separated is further fed again into the centrifuge and repeated three times to get pure oil.

How it Works?

The machine consists of a rotating drum constructed of SS304 grade steel. The interior of the drum is specially designed with razor sharp blades capable of shearing the outer skin (Testa) of the coconut.The drum rotates at a speed up to 1200 rpm and before operating the machine coconut is freely placed into the drum.Once the machine is started the drum rotates and the coconut continues to freely move inside the drum shearing off the Testa during the process.

About Expeller

Expeller oil mills use extrusion principle as the base for extracting oil from copra.The raw material is fed through a hopper and passes through a press chamber.The press chamber consists of a screw gear enclosed in a cage.As the material is pressed inside the chamber the oil is extruded from the nut and drops from the cage while the cake is discharged from the end.In case of copra oil mills we recommend three stage expelling process for maximum output.
