Grundfos Horizontal Multistage CM Pump

Overview

The horizontal multistage pumpCM(=Centrifugal Modular) has been created with compactness and modularity as two of its central features, making numerous configurations possible. The pump is basically composed of a series of interchangeable modules, all of which have been designed to work together seamlessly, no matter what the application.

The pumps are of the close-coupled type.

  • The difference between theCMand theCMEpump ranges is the motor.CMpumps are fitted with mains-operated motors, whereas the motors forCMEpumps have an integrated frequency converter.

  • BothCMandCMEpumps have mechanical shaft seals.

  • TheCMandCMEpumps are available in cast iron or stainless steel (AISI 304/DIN 1.4301 stainless steel, which is for water and non-corrosive liquids, and AISI 316/DIN 1.4401 stainless steel, which offers a high degree of corrosion protection against aggressive liquids).

Applications

  • TheCMorCMEpump is a multi purpose pump for both industry and water boosting in general.

  • It is compact, noiseless, reliable and flexible, and this make it an optimal solution for installation and interaction with other components in small and large systems or as a stand-alone pump.

Grundfos Contra Centrifugal Pumps

Overview

The single and multistage end-suction stainless steel centrifugal pumps of the premium Contra range are designed for use in industries where hygiene and flexibility are top priorities. They are made from high quality materials to meet the worlds strictest hygiene standards, e.g. EHEDG, QHD and GOST.

However, their most distinctive feature is their flexibility.Contrapumps can be adapted to suit any task where reliable, hygienic pumping is required. TheContrapumps are CIP- and SIP-capable, and they also meet the GMP requirements regarding FDA-approved materials.

Their main applications are in breweries, the beverage and food industries and the pharmaceutical industry. Thanks to their flexibility, theContrapumps can also be used successfully in all other industrial processes, including water treatment, chemical processes, surface treatment and textile industry processes.

Applications

  • Liquid transfer in breweries and dairies

  • Soft-drink mixing, carbonising systems

  • Food processing

  • Pure water systems (WFI) Process pumping in the pharmaceutical industry

  • CIP (Cleaning-In-Place) systems

  • Process pumping in the chemical industry

  • Transfer pump in water and textile treatment systems

  • Surface treatment Nearly all kinds of transfer, circulating and process pumping.

Features and benefits

  • Unique hygienic design (EHEDG, QHD, GOST and FDA)

  • CIP and SIP capable (DIN EN 12462)

  • Greatest possible flexibility customised solutions

  • Materials: Rolled, deep drawn steel AISI 316L (1.4404/1.4435) with electropolished surface down to Ra < 0.4m

  • Gentle liquid handling for sensitive liquids such as fruit juice

  • Optimised hydraulics for high efficiency and low energy consumption

  • Various motors, including explosion-proof motors (ATEX), motors with integrated frequency inverter (variable peeddrive) and high efficiency motors Multiple sealing systems including sterile seals, double mechanicalseals (tandem and back-to-back) with various material options

  • Pump variants include short-coupled pumps, base-plate mounted pumps and the Adapta version in vertical and horizontal installations

Our new L-BV7 liquid ring pumps are high-powered and multitalented machines which save space and up to 50 % in operating liquids. They can easily convey eight times the quantity of liquid. The monoblock construction of the L-BV7/L-BV2 far surpasses conventional modular pumps and is particularly suited for use in the plastics and medical industries. The robustness and reliability is unparalleled in operation. The machines are available in various combinations of materials such as stainless steel, bronze, ceramic and cast iron with ceramic coating. This enables them to be tailored to the respective operating requirements and thus provides long-term resistance to erosion and corrosion. The entire L-BV range shines with quality: reinforced stainless steel shafts in the pump section and roller bearings with additional lubricant reservoir provide safe and maintenance-free operation even under heavy loads.
