Caustic soda, also known as sodium hydroxide (NaOH), is a highly alkaline and corrosive substance widely used in various industrial and chemical applications. It is a white, odorless, and solid compound available in the form of flakes, pellets, granules, or as a 50% aqueous solution.

Properties

  • Chemical Formula: NaOH

  • Appearance: White, crystalline solid or a clear, colorless solution when dissolved in water.
