DIMS-GM Tablets contains Diacerein and Glucosamine. Diacerein is a slow acting symptomatic treatment of osteoarthritis. Diacerein also has the activity of the synthesis of proteoglycans, and hyaluronic acid, the principal components of cartilage. Glucosamine sulfate is capable of stimulating proteoglycan synthesis, inhibiting the degradation of proteoglycans, and stimulating the regeneration of experimentally induced cartilage damage. Glucosamine is a major component of joint cartilage. Diacerein is a slow-acting drug that may slow the breakdown of cartilage and relieve pain and swelling.
