Our Product / Services
Our product range contains a wide range of Black Copper Slag
Copper slag is a byproduct of copper smelting, composed mainly of iron, silicates, and other metal oxides. Beyond abrasive blasting, industrial-grade copper slag finds applications across construction, manufacturing, and environmental sectors due to its hardness, density, stability, and chemical properties.
Brief Uses & Applications of Industrial Grade Copper Slag
1. Abrasive Blasting (Primary Use)
Used as a substitute for silica sand in grit blasting.
Removes rust, paint, and scale from metal surfaces for coating prep.
2. Cement and Concrete Industry
Partial Replacement for Sand or Cement:
Enhances strength, durability, and resistance to chemicals.
Improves workability and reduces permeability.
Pozzolanic Properties:
Reacts with calcium hydroxide in cement to improve performance.
3. Road Construction
Asphalt and Road Base Material:
Used as aggregate in bituminous pavements and sub-base layers.
Offers good skid resistance and load-bearing capacity.
4. Landfilling and Soil Stabilization
Landfill Liner or Cover Material:
Used as a barrier material to contain leachate in waste management.
Soil Amendment:
Improves load-bearing capacity and reduces erosion.
5. Shipbuilding and Offshore Platforms
Surface prep and maintenance via grit blasting.
Used in anti-corrosion treatments and refurbishment.
6. Metal Recovery
Iron Extraction:
Residual iron content in slag can be recovered through magnetic separation.
7. Shotcrete and Refractory Applications
Mixed with other materials for use in fireproof linings, tunnel linings, and high-temperature insulation.
Advantages
Cost-effective and eco-friendly (waste reuse)
High hardness (6–7 Mohs scale)
Chemically inert and non-toxic
High specific gravity (suitable for heavy-duty fill)
