RO membranes have pore diameters ranging from approximately 5-15 A0 (0.5 nm 1.5 nm). This allows only passage of only very small size uncharged organic molecules to pass through the membrane along with the water. >95-99% of inorganic salts will be rejected by the membrane due to charge repulsion established at the membrane surface. NF is available in Organic Material of construction.
