In the PSA BASED Oxygen Gas Generation Process, the compressed air is fed to the twin towers filled with zeolite molecular sieves which separate oxygen from rest of the constituent of air. The oxygen generated is 95% pure. When oxygen saturates from one tower, this process changes over to the other tower, thus helping in the process of continuous oxygen generation. . When compressed air passed through C.M.S. bed, the molecules of oxygen, moisture & other unwanted gases are adsorbed on surface of C.M.S. And the nitrogen which is not adsorbed by C.M.S comes out of adsorption tower and is collected in a surge vessel. Two adsorption towers are provided which are interconnected with auto change over valves controlled by a sequence programmer(PLC). When one tower saturates with oxygen the process automatically changes over to another tower.This ensures the continuous production of the Nitrogen gas.
