Noble manufacture various ranges of standard size silica gel sachets using Non-Indicating (White) or Self-indicating (Blue) silica gels. In the latter case, the colours of the gels are visible through the sachet paper or fabric. Self-indicating silica gel (blue) sachets are often useful in test situations, to confirm the suitability of the sachet size chosen, or in cases where an item is frequently inspected and the sachet can be replaced if it has become exhausted. Sachets are manufactured as standard in a heat-sealed non-woven fabric made from 100% viscose fiber with an acrylic binder and polyamide coating. The basic prerequisites for solid desiccant dehydration are that the desiccant be able to withstand the stream to be dried and that the stream composition and properties remain unchanged after water removal. Noble Activated Alumina performs well by these standards when used to dehydrate gases & liquids of many types. The dehydration process can be made cyclic by taking advantage of the ability of activated alumina to be regenerated thermally. The service life of activated alumina can be up to many years. Replacement of the desiccant is necessary when the drying time or dew point cannot be maintained or when the pressure drop increases to an unacceptable level.
As a desiccant, Noble Activated Alumina is capable of removing significant amount of water from liquids and essentially all water from gases and air. As an absorbent, activated alumina can perform variety of services such as removing oil vapors from compressed gases, removing acids from lubricating oil or refrigerants, removing fluorides from water etc.
Noble Activated Alumina balls are capable of drying gases to dew point below -65 deg. C when used with high regeneration temperatures and dry gas regeneration. In usual practice, temperature between 160 to 250 deg. C can be required.

In some of the drug synthesis or other esterification reactions, Noble Molecular Sieves Powder is incorporated to adsorb water in the reaction to avoid the reversible reaction and maximize the product yield. At the end of reaction Molecular Sieves Powder is filtered out.
Noble Molecular Sieves Powder (Activated) can also be used for formulating and compounding applications. Molecular Sieves Powder removes moisture to extremely low levels with high adsorption capacity. These adsorbents function by a physical process only, so no reaction by-products are formed that can adversely affect production properties.

Noble Silica Gel Self Indicating (Blue) is normally used as an Indicator in Transformer Breathers and moisture adsorption in sealed containers / vessels. Originally it comes in dark blue color (without moisture) & while absorbing moisture it turns in to pink color shows an indication that it has to be replaced or time for regeneration.
