The complete coupling includes two flanges, two inserts and the necessary numbers of nuts and bolts to join them together.The couplings designed for use with glass process plant and components are major important from two main points of view.
1. They must ensure that the bolt load applied to the joint is sufficient to make an effective seal whilst not inducing under stress in the glass.
2.They must be totally reliable in all service conditions.
