TARGAS-1 Portable Photosynthesis System

TARGAS-1 Portable Photosynthesis System

The TARGAS-1 console is compact, lightweight (2.1 kg) and is packaged in a rugged, aluminum enclosure with a shock absorbing polyurethane base making it extremely robust and reliable under harsh environmental conditions. It incorporates two non-dispersive infrared gas analyzers for CO2 and H2O ensuring accurate measurement and control of both CO2 and H2O. An internal air supply unit provides accurately controlled reference air to the leaf cuvette and another pump draws the sample (analysis) air to the gas analyzer. Both pumps are user controlled and accuracy is ensured by two internal electronic flow sensors. The TARGAS-1 is perfectly suited for applications that demand portability and a high degree of accuracy and control with minimal maintenance. The design of the instrument ensures an inherent calibration stability that has been confirmed by many years of experience in gas analysis technology. The TARGAS-1 gas analyzers should not require frequent recalibration, although we do recommend periodic checks to confirm system integrity.

Soil Compaction meters (often called penetrometers) are used to determine the density of soil and other material. An operator pushes a rod with attached (ASAE standard) cone into the ground. The resistance of the cone is displayed as it is pushed in the ground. This compaction meter enables you to identify compacted areas in pounds per square inch so that you can use deep tillage or other practices recommended for your area based on hard facts. Spectrum Technologies - TDR Soil Moisture Meter
The TDR 300 has two volumetric water content modes; one for standard soils and one for higher clay soils. In volumetric water content (VWC) mode, the meter converts a measured electrical signal into percent soil moisture content using an equation valid over a wide range of mineral soils. In irrigation mode, the meter displays a relative water content (RWC) on a scale of 0 to 100 corresponding to a user-defined upper and lower soil moisture reference level. Water deficit, the amount of water needed to bring the soil moisture content up to the upper reference level, is also calculated and displayed. The reference levels are easily programmed into the meter with the accompanying software. Create up to 2 management sites based on your soil types and crop needs.
