Hinged metal expansion joint is capable of greater angular movement, and with some designs, it can absorb axial movement. The angular movement is provided by use of metal hinges. So, if two such metal expansion joints are used in unison, separated by a segment of piping, the arrangement can provide greater lateral movement, similar to a Universal Metallic Expansion Joint, in a single plane application. Hinged expansion joints are usually used in sets of two or three, to absorb lateral deflection in one or more directions in a single plane piping system

Single Circular Metal Expansion Joint Expansion Bellow consists of a single circular metallic bellow welded to end connections. The expansion bellow can absorb all three movements axial, lateral and angular. Since it is capable of carrying all the three movements, it is necessary that the piping be controlledguided as to the direction of movements required by the applications.
