Since the incorporation of orient paper mills ltd in 1936 with a single paper machine at brajrajnagar in the state of orissa, it has emerged now a multi- product, multi-location company, that's much more than paper. The c k birla group has promoted and established a large number of industrial undertakings manufacturing a diverse range of products such as automobiles, earthmoving equipment, engineering products, ball bearings, building materials, chemical plants and software development etc.

considering the strong brand image for its brand orient, the company planned expansion in the range of electrical products. In the year 2007 started trading of cfls, ftls etc and in the year 2008 a state of art manufacturing unit was installed at faridabad in haryana for the purpose of manufacturing of cfls, ftls. Now in the short span of three years the plaintiff's turnover from these lighting products comes to rs. 6295 lacs in the financial year 2010-11.

we, under the expansion plan entered in to the appliances segment and launched house hold appliances range product range like mixer grinders, juicer mixer grinder, toasters, electric iron and water heaters, gysers, rice cooker, induction cooker, electric kettle in the month of december 2011 and now within a year our appliances have extended its presence to 98 major cities across the country panning 100+ distributors and 3000+ outlets.
