SXL wire is a type of automotive primary wire. It contains a bare copper conductor that is rated for 50 volts and a Cross-Linked Polyethylene (XLPE) insulation that provides a temperature rating of -51°C to 125°C. At Paras Wire, we carry SXL in sizes ranging from 8 AWG to 20 AWG. Since SXL wire can handle high heat, it is rated by SAE J-1128 to be used in engine compartments. It also meets the specifications to be used for Ford and Chrysler vehicles. We provide multiple value-added services for SXL wire including custom printing, striping, twisting, cutting and stripping.

GXL wire is a specific type of wiring that is used for automotive primary wiring. Our GXL wire has thin walls along with a single conductor to make it one of the thinner primary wiring solutions that is great for automotive applications. The bare-copper wire conductor is wrapped with cross-linked polyethylene and allows for 50 volts. Its slender proportions make it incredibly viable in engine compartments. Another great attribute for this wiring in engine compartments are its heat ratings, which is for between -51 degrees Celsius and +125 degrees Celsius. This means that the wire is great where high heat resistance is required, but also outstanding where there are very low temperatures.
