Product Information :

  • Blue Bird Thiourea dioxide (TDO) is the replacement product for Sodium Hydrosulphite/Sodium Borohydride for the reductive leaching of Clay.
  • TDO Molecular Formula: CH4N2O2S. (CAS Number: 1758-73-2) is also called
    formamidine-sulfinic acid.
  • TDO, when dissolved in 20oC solution, has almost 1040 reducing electric potential, where as Sodium hydrosulfite has 800 and Sodium Borohydride has 480 reducing electric potential.
  • TDO is a strong reductant which re-arranges under alkaline conditions to form formamidine sulphinic acid. This product is also a component of decolorisation agents.
  • TDO has been very effective on a wide variety of applications including leather processing, textile processing, kaolin leaching, paper, pulp and board industry, as bleaching and reducing agents. The application of TDO is crucial to achieve optimal
brightness gain in the deinking process.
  • TDO saves up to 75% of storage space as the requirement of TDO is only 1/3rd to 1/4th (by volume) of Sodium Hydrosulphite/Sodium Borohydride.
  • TDO is a powdered stable compound, which dissolves in water and decomposes gradually to produce sulfoxylic acid through formamidine-sulfinic acid to exhibit a reducing action. This reaction is promoted by the application of heat or in the presence
of an alkali, and a strong reducing action is thereby exhibited. But, this reaction is slow, and particularly in an acidic to weakly alkaline region.
  • TDO is useful as a reducing agent; it reduces vat dyes, ketones to alcools and hydrocarbons and conjugated unsaturated acids to the corresponding saturated acids. It is an excellent antioxidant in the stabilization of percholorethylene.

Organic Dispersant

  • Application Industrial
  • Purity 85%
  • Organic Yes
  • Form Liquid

Organic Dispersant, which we provide under the brand Dizpate 40 is manufactured under specialized technical care and supervision to ensure consistency in performance to the end user. Numerous industries such as paper making, paint manufacturing, mining, ceramics and water treatment require the preparation and use of a whole variety of dispersions. The type of materials commonly involved are china clay, precipitated chalk, zinc oxide, satin white, calcium carbonate, talc, etc.

Dizpate - 40 is an organic dispersant specially developed as viscosity reducing stabilizer for water borne paint and various pigment slurries used in the preparation of aqueous dispersions. The introduction of Dizpate - 40 affects the elasticity and viscoelastic behavior of dispersions.

It shows an excellent performance compared with conventional dispersants, Sodium hexametaphosphate, Sodium Tripoly Phosphate etc.

Sodium Hydrosulphite

  • Application Pharma, Industrial
  • Formula Na2S2O4
  • Molar mass 174.107 g/mol
  • Density 2.38 g/cm³
  • Boiling point Decomposes
  • Melting point‎ 52 °C (126 °F; 325 K)

Sodium Hydrosulphite, which we provide, is procured from specialized factories in the domain to ensure consistent purity. This Chemical is acclaimed for its purity and shelf-life. We make sure to pack this, using chemical-grade packaging material.

Application : It is widely used in the textile industry for vat dyeing, reduction cleaning, printing and stripping, textile materials bleaching. It is also used in bleaching paper pulps, especially mechanical pulp; bleaching kaolin clay. As a reducing agent, it is used in organic synthesizing.

Properties : Sodium hydrosulfite by nature is a very reactive chemical which can decompose when exposed to air and moisture or contacts with small quantities of water. Decomposition will result in spontaneous ignition and liberating toxic gas--SO2. Reacts violently with oxidants which will lead to combustion or explosion.

Storage : The product must be always handled and stored in sealed clean iron drums or bulk containers. Avoid contacts with moisture, acids, oxidizing chemicals and combustible organic substances. Protect the product from direct sunlight, heat, sparks and open flames. Carefully handle the product and avoid damaging the package.
