Seachem Prime Water Conditioner makes the water suitable for your fish living either in a fresh water or salt water tank. The outstanding product from Seachem successfully removes the chlorine and chloramine from the water. Ammonia is converted into a safer, non-toxic form which can be readily treated by the biofilter of the aquarium. Nitrite and nitrate are also detoxified and removed by the biofilter. Moreover, the first- rate conditioner also detoxifies the heavy metals which are found in tap water at typical concentration levels. Prime promotes the production and regeneration of natural slime coat. It is non- acidic and will not disturb the pH balance of tank water. The conditioner would not activate skimmers. You can use the Prime Water Conditioner when you set up an aquarium, and also at the time of adding or replacing water. What are the benefits? Directions Use 1 capful (5 mL) for each 200 L (50 gallons) of new water. This removes approximately 1 mgL ammonia, 4 mgL chloramine, or 5 mgL chlorine. For smaller volumes, please note each cap thread is approximately 1 mL. May be added to aquarium directly, but better if added to new water first. If adding directly to aquarium, base dose on aquarium volume. Sulfur odor is normal. For exceptionally high chloramine concentrations, a double dose may be used safely. To detoxify nitrite in an emergency, up to 5 times normal dose may be used. If temperature is > 30 C (86 F) and chlorine or ammonia levels are low, use a half dose.
