A.K.A. Haemoglobin Testing Colour Scale Starter Kit and expensive kit for An iestimating hemoglobin concentration from a drop of blood by means of colour scale when laboratory based hemoglobinometry is not available or not affordable. It comprises a sterile lancet, test strips and a small colour comparator card bearing 6 shades of red colour that represent hemoglobin levels at 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 and 14 g/dL.

Steps to use the Kit:
  • Just prick the finger using the lancet and obtain one free flowing drop of Blood on the smooth side of the test strip.
  • Wait for 30 seconds to one minute.
  • Match the colour of the blood drop from lighter to darker shades of colour scale provided.
