The traditional Aldehyde Resins produced from auto-condensed aldehydes are very rarely uses in coatings. The same is not true of Urea modified aldehyde resins. Which as well as being used as coating additive to improve gloss, body and UV resistance, are known as ideal grinding resins for pigment pastes because of their high pigment binding power and universal compatibility. Its used in combination with other resin binders to improve its properties and production of all purpose pigment paste.

POLYTONE ABR Series Acrylic Bead Resins are polymers or copolymers of acrylic monomers for use in solvent applied lacquers, inks, speciality coatings & adhesives. These resins are available in fine granules and are thermoplastic in nature; they are thermally stable upto 180-235C.
Coatings of these resins give water white transparent films having gloss and hardness. Polytone Acrylic Bead Resins provide excellent abrasion resistance & weatherability with low pigment reactivity. Having compatibility with a variety of plasticizers and file formers these resins provide excellent resistance to alkalies dilute acids, alcohols as also corrosive and oxidizing atmospheres.

Its is a condensation product of cyclohexanone and formaldehyde to give a solid product, which includes carbonyl and hydroxyl groups Its wide compatibility and good solubility cause it to be used in most diverse coating systems to enhance drying properties, harness, gloss and adhesion as well as solid content.
It displays good pigment-wetting properties, and increases yield of coating systems. It is suitable for all types of industries, including nitrocellulose paints where it improves polishing characteristic and adhesion.
In printing inks, it enhances adhesion, imparts gloss, improves drying properties, and increases solids content, where it is used in maleic resins, alkyd resins, nitro cellulose, and polyvinyl butyral.
