Open-end spinning is also known as the rotor spinning or the break spinning method. If you want to know the principle of open-end spinning, you would be surprised to know, that the open end spinning is almost similar to that of the process which also includes the clothes dryer spinning (which also contains various sheets). It so happens that if you try to pull out a sheet, then you will see that both the sheets are spun at the same time. The card which contains the sliver passes into the rotor and the yarn that comes out gets wrapped onto a bobbin. There are no roving stages and neither does it need to be re-packed.
