The LT Motors division of Crompton Greaves is the largest manufacturer of Low Tension Electric Motors in India offering a range of AC and DC Electric Motors ranging from 0.18kW to 450kW in various standard and customized configurations which meet the exacting demands of the industry.
The Division has manufacturing facilities in Ahmednagar and Goa plants.
Crompton Greaves were the first in India to introduceFlame Proof Electric Motorsand Increased Safety Motors for application in hazardous areas. These motors have been exhaustively tested and certified by CMRI, DGMS, and CCE enabling use for all applications in hazardous areas in the country. In keeping with our tradition of concern for the safety needs & our pioneering status, we have obtained approval from BASEEFA & EECS for our entire range of flameproof motors, thus ensuring that our range of flameproof motors can be used globally without any geographical limitations whatsoever.
Further, in pursuance of our culture of continuous improvement towards customer satisfaction, we have also incorporated the latest designs ensuring better electrical performance as well as versatility in mechanical features. The standard electric motors offered are in compliance with eff2 level of proposed revision to IS12615 in India as well as CEMEP standards prevalent in Europe. These features have given the necessary impetus to the long cherished ambition of being a global player in motor industry. Crompton Greaves High Efficient Aluminium Motors are World class Electric Motors and available now in India, Aluminium body, light weight, low vibrations, Low noise and superior efficiencies. This range of motors produced by BCG is backed up by unmatched service by Crompton Greaves.
Range covers products with outputs from 0.07 KW to 11KW and widely used in a diverse range of applications of Aluminium Electric Motors from food and drink to water and sewage. From heating and ventilation to refrigeration. Some of the benefits of aluminium over cast iron, include, high resistance to corrosion and atmospheric attack (except chlorine, salt-laden or sulphuric acid) and the fact that aluminium is approximately one third the weight of cast iron.
This division of Crompton Greaves manufactures state of the art, self excited, self regulated and dependable generators which are reliable sources of power by deploying superior techniques and processes in each specialized field of design, material specifications, procurement, testing and packing.
The division has a modern integrated manufacturing facilities at Mandideep and Ahmednagar and are ISO 9001 - Certified by BVQI of U.K.
To ensure ever increasing standards of quality in manufacturing, the division has implemented TQM and 6 Sigma. The division is also SAP/3 enabled.
Products of the division include Electric Motors, Wind Mill Generators in a variety of ratings of up to 1 MW, Brushless AC Generators upto 625 kVA, Slip Ring Generators upto 82.5 kVA and Large Brushless Synchronous Generators ranging from 750 kVA upto 8000 kVA.
The Generators manufactured by the division incorporate advanced European technology and are designed for optimum performance using high end software solutions.

These drives are high performance AC Drives with range available from 5.5KW to 200KW and 200V / 400V Voltage range for Electric Motors. LED keypad is offered as standard as well As the Software CD.
The CG Drive-SG inverter series has been designed to satisfy the typical needs of modem control system, where innovative solutions and high performance are essential.
Expressly developted to provide the best performence in application where high torque is required at the start or at low frequencies. Thanks to its smart functionlity integrated, the SG inverter has a high number or I/O and a wide range of options, allowing full flexibillity for all automation requirements.
A simple prograqmming structure, guarantees a quick motor start-up or more complex system regulation, either through the simple to use standerd keyped or using theEasyDrive PC tool.
