Hypercholesterolemia :

• Cholesterol is classified as low-density lipoprotein (LDL), and high-density lipoprotein (HDL). LDL cholesterol is called "bad" cholesterol, because increased levels of LDL cholesterol in blood are associated with an increased risk of coronary heart disease means blockage of artery (blood vessels) which supply blood to the heart. LDL lipoprotein deposits cholesterol on the inner walls of artery, causing the formation of a hard, thick substance called cholesterol plaque inside the artery walls.
