Habitat And Agronomy

  • Soil Type - Medium black, loamy or alluvial soils having perfect drainage and devoid of calcium carbonate layer.
  • Spacing - 5 to 6 m spacing in 75 cm x 75 cm x 75 cm pits
  • Climate/Temperature - They can be cultivated in both Tropical and subtropical climate. It can be grown up to 1000 m above MSL. Areas with dry climate and low rainfall are best suited for growing limes. Lemons can be grown in heavy rainfall humid regions.
  • Time of Planting - December – February; June - September
  • Flowering - 7-11 months; Pruning
  • Yield - First year will bear less fruits; after the commencement of 2nd year, it gives 50-60 fruits per tree. Increase in yield by 3rd year and per acre min. 10 ton
  • Media - Uprooted plants covered with coco peat and packed in corrugated box.
  • Plant stages available for sale - 200 qty per box
