alkyd resin is a 3 part no-bake binder system used for making sand moulds and cores. This is a conventional binder system widely used in steel and cast iron foundry. This system is ideal for large moulds and chunky cores which are difficult to make with core oil system due to baking limitation and silicate process for its poor collapsibility.
procure abc system offers good surface finish, high scratch resistance and excellent collapsibility coupled with operational flexibility in bench life and air setting requirements both in core and mould facing sand.
procure abc system consists of primary binder, accelerator and cross linking agent. This system can be used in batch mixer as well as in continuous mixer. However, good quality clay and moisture free sand is required for this system.
