We offer a complete product range of Stone Crack Powder

Stone Crack Powder

  • Min. Order (MOQ) 5 Metric Ton
  • Brand Name Sino Crack
  • POWDER GRAY
We are offering stone cracking powder that is used in demolition of rock and concrete structures in dust and noise sensitive areas and places closed to inhabited areas, natural gas lines, pipelines, roadways or other areas where the use of explosive would generate significant safety risk.It is a non-explosive demolition agent used to demolish rock and concrete structures through eco-friendly procedure. It is a non-toxic and powdery material, which consists of oxides of calcium, silicon iron and aluminium. When it mixes with clear water (ph=6.57) and poured in drilled hole, it subjects to hydration reaction liberating heat energy and it swells while hardening creating a significant expansive pressureforce on the hole wall face at 600 psi of pressure. It is strong enough to split and fracture marble, granite, limestone, sand stone, concrete, reinforced concrete, virgin boulders ledge and piers etc without any sound and flying rock. Productive sca can be used where explosives are forbidden and extensively in granite industry to avoid unwanted cracks in the material. Use of explosives to split the big blocks highly prone to internal crack development which may leads to reject the material for exporting. So, replacing the explosives with productive sca will result in significant increase in productivity. advantages It does not make any noise, explode or generate fly rocks, vibration or toxic fumes. It is completely harmless and environment friendly. At the other side, explosives are less safe and pose the threat of premature explosion, misfire and fly rocks, posing a significant threat after the planned explosion and also chances for uneven cracking and internal crack development. So, usage of productive sca is very productive and safe. Usage of productive sca has become a common procedure in demolition in inner citied, other dust and noise sensitive areas. productive sca has also used when excavating rock, or demolishing concrete structures or components of concretes structures are closed to inhabited areas, natural gas lines, pipelines, roadways or other areas where the use of explosive would generate significant safety risk.

*Water mix ratio and ambient temperature are the most important variables in influencing the generation of expansive pressure. Advantages
  • Soundless Cracking
  • Unlike the existing method of demolition done by explosives or breaking equipment ‘Productive SCA’ quietly and gradually demolishes rock or concrete with its expansive stress (more than 30 N/mm2) caused by hydration reaction, so that Productive SCA does not cause any noise vibration fly rock dust and gas
  • Using ‘Productive SCA’ does not require a special license or meeting any legal regulations unlike explosives explosive agents etc therefore no qualified person for handing are required and the demolition can be easily performed
  • Neither capping with a bar is necessary after ‘Productive SCA’ mixed with water is poured into drilled holes in rock or concrete (except the hole angle of drilling is with negative slope)
  • ‘Productive SCA’ can demolish rock or concrete systematically and also demolition work in water is possible
  • High-efficiency demolitions
  • Since rock or concrete previously cracked with ‘Productive SCA’ is easily broken with breakers etc the amount of time required for breaking of rock or concrete can be remarkably reduced
Usage Procedure and Requirements
  • Drilling : The distance between the holes to be drilled depends on size of the holes and type of material to be cut (for Rock Material and Non-Reinforced Concrete of hole size 32-42 mm Dia. Holes mean distance should range 20-35mm for reinforced concrete mean distance should range from 15-25mm).
  • Mixing : Productive SCA is a powder that must be mixed thoroughly with clear water in a ratio of 30 % say 1.5-1-1.7 Lit for 5 Kg bag. We strongly insists the users to carry out a test in practical with various proportions to decide the correct proportion for better results. Gradually add the powder to water and stirring all the time to obtain a smooth lump of free mortar. Excessive water may delay the cracking process and less water may lead to starvation during reaction. Users are requested to follow the instructions mentioned on the bag.
  • Filling : Pour the Expansive Mortar within 5-10 min only. Stop leak out of productive SCA from horizontal holes with suitable means like sponge, for horizontal holes use thick mortar or cartridge type packages. For further information feel free to discuss with us.
  • Free Surface : It is one of the significant factors that play an important role in cracking process. As expansive pressure acts towards free surface, it is necessary to ensure free surface at least at one edge for a bottom free rock/boulder. if the rock/boulder is routed into the earth surface please contact us for the suitable hole design to demolish the big boulder/rock rooted inside the earth. We have dedicated geologists and rock engineers to serve you the best.
Cracking Mechanism After the mortar is poured into holes drilled in rocks or concrete, the expansive stress gradually increases with time, the material to be cracked undergoes a process of :
  • Crack initiation
  • Crack propagation
  • The increase of crack width
Therefore, this fracture mechanism is distinguished from a breakage by blasting. The mechanism by the expansive stress of “Productive SCA” is shown in Fig. 1. Cracks initiate from an inner surface of the hole, being caused by tensile stress at a right angle with the compressive stress which occurs by the expansive stress of being developed while hardening. The expansive stress continues even after the appearance of cracks, the cracks propagate and also new cracks initiate during the process. Usually, for a single hole, 2-4 cracks initiate and propagate. When a free surface exists, the crack, as shown in Fig. 2, is pushed apart mainly by the shear stress, and a secondary crack also arises from the bottom of the hole, running toward the free surface.
