RISING STEM-OUTSIDE SCREWN& YOKEThe construction keeps stem threads outside the valve & is recommended where high temperature, corrosive, & solids in the line might damage stem threads inside the valve. When the handwheel is turned, the stem rises as the yoke bushing engages the stem threads enable the easy lubrication. Care must be taken, however, to protect exposed stem threads from damages
BOLTED BONNETS.Valves with bolted bonnets may be easily dismantled with conventional wrenches. Body & Bonnet flanges are usually furnished with flat faces or male & female joints.
FLEXIBLE DISCFlexible disc are wedge seated with disc faces joined at The center by a hub. This Design enables disc faces to compensate for variable temperatures & pressures & allows valve to operate at lower torques. This disc is offered in steel gate valves only.

An important use of GLOBE VALVE is to regulate or throttle fluid flow none to full capacity. They may be operated efficiently with the stem in any position from wide open to fully closed. The changed in direction of fluid flow through the valve produces increased resistance & considerable pressure drop in globe valves.

SWING CHECK VALVE
CHECK VALVES prevents reversal of direction of flow through a line. They offer quick automatic reactions to flow changes, the pressure of the flowing fluid keeps the valve open & any reversal of flow closes it.

LIFT CHECK VALVEWhen SWING CHECK VALVES are used in systems in which frequent flow reversals may be encountered the valves may have a tendency to chatter. This can be corrected by equipping the valve with an outside lever & weight. It may be used to add weight to disc quicker closing against backflow preventing water hammer & excessive shock pressure.The lever & weight can be adjusted so that the disc will open at the slightest pressure, or else to prevent the disc from opening until a desired pressure is attained

when using larger throttling valve, using flanged piping connections, butterfly valve should be considered.
generally butterfly valves are low pressure valve with a simple 90 disc stem operation. In some cases, they are used as shut off valves although offering pressure drop through the valve opening.
the usefulness of the butterfly valves has increased with the development of elastomer liners with a wafer body which provide a tight shut-off. Such liners normally utilize back-up rings in the body to effectively support the liner. This provides sealing of the liner against the disc as well as the adjacent flanges.

Opening & closing of WAFER CHECK VALVES tekes places at extremely low pressure difference over the valve disc. The eccentric shaft connection in combination with disc seat, guarantees a positive shut- of the returning medium.
