AAAC : ALL ALUMINUM ALLOY CONDUCTOR
These conductors are made from aluminium alloy 6201 which is a high strength Aluminium-Magnesium-Silicon alloy. This alloy conductor offers good electrical conductivity (about 52.5% IACS) with better mechanical strength. Because of AAAC's lighter weight as compared to ACSR of equal strength and current capacity, AAAC may be used for distribution purposes. However, it is not usually preferred for transmission. Also, AAAC conductors can be employed in coastal areas because of their excellent corrosion resistance.
The conductor consists of Aluminium-Magnesium-Silicon Alloy wires stranded in successive layers in opposite direction and the outer layer is in the right hand direction. In case required, neutral grease shall be applied between the layers of AAC except the outer layer.

NEOCAB INDUSTRIAL FLEXIBLE CABLES are with developed as per IS:694, 2010. These cables are perfect to be used in law-voltage
Electric wiring of commercial and industrial applications. These cables designed to cope with the tight bending radii and physical stress
associated with moving applications.
The conductors used in these cables are finely drawn from 99.97% bright electrolytic grade copper with more than 101% conductivity,
annealed and bunched together. These conductors are insulated with a PVC compound with high insulation resistance and dielectric
strength, with choice of FR or FRLS-H, Heat Resistant (HR) PVC also available on demand.
In case of multicore cables, the insulated cores are laid up to form the core assembly. The inner cores are color coded or numbered for
ease of identification as per National/ International coding practices. The sheathing is provided with a specially formulated PVC
compound to facilitate not only ease in stripping but also to withstand mechanical abrasion while in use.
SALIENT FEATURES
These Flexible Cables are made using Superior quality FR/FRLS-H PVC insulation and FR or FRLS-H Sheath. PVC used in these cables
has high oxygen and temperature index, thus helping in restricting spread of fire even at high temperatures.

NEOCAB Unsheathed Single Core Cable with Solid Conductor
of cable. These conductors are Rigid and strong, and have lesser flexibility
are made-up of several finely drawn soft copper wires bunched together
to form cross-sectional Area of desired size. These cables can be further
divided into single core or multicore, depending upon number of cores
stranded together.

ACSR : ALUMINUM CONDUCTOR, STEEL REINFORCED
ACSR consists of a solid or stranded steel core with one or more layers of high purity Aluminium wires wrapped in spiral. The core wire zinc coated (galvanized) steel or if required aluminium coated (aluminized) steel for certain applications.
Galvanization is generally of thin coating and is applied to protect the steel from corrosion. The central steel core provides additional mechanical strength and, hence, sag is significantly less than all other aluminium conductors.
ACSR with higher steel content is selected where higher mechanical strength is required, such as river crossing. ASCR conductors are very widely used for all transmission and distribution purposes requiring longer span.
1.1 KV Volt Grade, are used for distributing power to individual consumers by utility service
providers such as electricity boards and electricity distributing authorities. The cables are
suspended overhead using electrical poles. The cables can be tapped intermittently from any
required position, enabling them to be used in urban as well as rural areas.

Messenger conductor: Aluminium Silica and Magnesium Alloy.
Insulation
XLPE with Sioplas Technique.
Identification of Phase
Ridges provided on the insulation of Phase Conductors: 1 ridge for the 1st phase, 2 ridges for
the 2nd phase and 3 ridges for the 3rd phase. The Neutral phase may have 4 ridges if required.
Colour of Insulation
As the cable remains exposed to environmental elements such as UV rays from sunlight, the
insulation is mixed with a small amount of carbon black to prevent the deterioration of
polythene.
Construction of Cable
The phase conductor can be of single phase or three phases. A lighting conductor can be also
incorporated for street lighting. A messenger conductor supports the weight of the cable and
keeps the assembly strung under tension. Phase conductors are made of concentrically
stranded Aluminium Wires having 7 or 19 wires. Messenger conductors are made of a specially
treated Silica, Magnesium and Aluminium Alloy having 7 or 19 wires. Phase and lighting
conductors may be insulated with XLPE compound of Sioplas Technology. Messenger
conductors are kept either bare or insulated. Phase and lighting conductors are sometimes
twisted around the messenger conductor. In special cases a neutral conductor may also be
provided separately. Generally, the messenger acts as earth and neutral.
