advantages of core pin cooling:

during high pressure die casting of aluminum alloys, generally there are three defects that are confronted by die casters on or around core pins:

• soldering
• shrinkage porosity around core pins
• wash out

core pins are subject to high thermal stress during the casting process as it comes in direct contact with the molten metal till the metal solidifies. This can introduce defects in the core pin region due to:

• shrinkage
• soldering or
• wash out

to overcome these defects raga manufactures high quality customized jet coolers which are inserted into the core pins for maintaining the temperature around core pins and hence, minimizing casting defects.

• Core Pins

Core pin or hole forming pins are subjected to high thermal stresses during the die casting process. It comes in contact with molten alloy till it solidifies.

• Jet Cooled Core Pins

Core pin with slender holes inside them to create coolong channels and jet coolers are inserted inside these core pins to facilitate the cooling process.
