Metallurgical coke, also known as Met coke, is a carbon material manufactured by the destructive distillation of various blends of bituminous coal. Metallurgical coke is used where a high quality, tough, resilient, wearing carbon is required. Applications include but are not limited to conductive flooring, foundry coatings, foundry carbon raiser, corrosion materials, heat treatment, ceramic packing media, and electrolytic processes. Primary purpose is for fuel in Blast Furnaces. The smaller size is what is known as Coke Breeze. Coke Breeze or Met Coke fines have the bulk application in cement manufacturing, sintering process & in zinc manufacturing. Along with the above application it required by many small industries.

Injection coke is product derived from metallurgical coke. The technique of foaming slag using carbon in the eaf is used to increase productivity, lower operating costs and increase the quality of steel produced. It is also used as deoxidizing agent. Due to its clean energy (does not emit any green house gases), high density, high thermal efficiency & low ash, its being used as substitute to coal, wood, furnace oil, etc. by industry. White Coke briquettes have a higher practical thermal value and much lower ash content (2-10% as compared to 20-40% in coal). Briquettes, are easy to store, pack and hygienic to handle. And also there is no sulfur in Briquettes. We started this initiative as a contributing step towards environment.
