Rapid Pressure Relief Valve (R.P.R.V.) is a safety device to be used in Power Transformer/ Rectifiers/Special Transformers, OLTC , Pressure Tanks & Pressure Lines for indoor & outdoor application. Suitable for repeated operation than the conventional Explosion Vent.

RPRV gives edge our Conventional Pressure Relief Valve (PRV) like.

1. It acts faster than Conventional Pressure Relief Valve. This is very critical at time of sudden pressure rise.
2. It releases pressure quicker than Conventional Pressure Relief Valve.

Application:-

Pressure Relief Valve (P.R.V.)is a safety device to used in Transformer, Pressure Tanks & Lines for indoor & outdoor application. Suitable for repeated operation, than conventional Explosion Vent.

Working

Port of 150 mm. is sealed by aStainless Steel Diaphragmresting on anO Ring. Heavy- Duty Spring Set keepsthe port closed in normal condition. As soon as the pressure exceeds the pre determined safe limit due to any reason like change in temperature, formation of vapor etc. The diaphragm gets lifted from the seat. This exposes the tank pressure to a greater area, corresponding to the diameter of side gasket.

Resulting to sudden increase of force. Thusinstantaneouslyopening port of 150mm. and allowing vapor, gas & liquid to flow out of tank. Resulting to fall of pressure. The diaphragm restores its normal position as soon as pressuredropsbelow the set limit and is ready for second jump. Spring retainer prevents the dislocation of spring during repeated operation. The lift of diaphragm also operates theLimit Switch(Double Pole/ Double Throw type) &Visual Indicator (Flag)by help ofRod.Limit Switch is attached with * 16 T.P.I. (B.S.C.) Cable Glandof PVC.

Engineered for rugged use & long life each P.R.V. is checked for itsoperational conditionindividually. It is important to note that depending upon the tank fluid differentO Ringmaterial is suggested. This design if used in transformer is suitable for operating pressure of0.42 / 0.49/ 0.56kg/cm sq. (0.07 Kg / cm sq.) i.e. 6 / 7 / 81 p.s.i.

Note: -Our standard feature isPRV with Nitrile Rubber Gasket.

Mounting

P.R.V. can be mounted both horizontally & vertically by help of 6 mounting holes inAluminum Casted Bodyfor M12 Bolts at p.c.d. 235mm.

Different Models available are

1. Without Electrical Contact & Visual Indicator (DP-6)
2. With (Electrical Contact (1 N.O.+1N.C.)& Visual Indicator) (DP-6EF 1)
3. With (Electrical Contact (2 N.O.+2N.C.)& Visual Indicator) (DP-6EF 2)
4. These models are also available withVITON Rubber Gasket, suitable for Silicone Oil.
5. Models are also available withPush Pull Electrical Connection.(1NO.+1NC)/(2NO+2NC).
6. Vent screw for bleeding air or gas bubbles.
7. PRV at different operating pressure (higher/lower) can be supplied as per your request.

Routine Test-is carried on each P.R.V. as follows and test certificate furnished along with supply.

1. Operating Pressure individually.
2. Contact / Operation of Switch & Flag is checked in Before & After Valve Operation condition.
3. Leakage Test at 75% of Operating Pressure for 12 hr is done.
4. Dielectric Test of 2 K.V. for 1 minute.

Type Test-

Our P.R.V. has already qualified Environmental TestIP 67a must to understand practical adaptability in real life condition and rugged use.
