Low carbon rutile-basic-coated austenitic stainless steel electrode with approx 8% Ferrite coating with very low moisture pick up. Basic properties are soft fusion, virtually no spatter, very easy slag removal, exceptional rippled and shiny weld bead appearance, and easy restriking. Anand-13 is a medium-coated rutile type general purpose electrode for all position welding. It delivers a smooth and stable welding arc with low spatter and smoke, excellent slag detachability, and a fine ripple bead appearance. The weld deposit is of radiographic quality. Welding of structural steels, pipe sockets, steel furniture, maintenance work, & general fabrication of steel are the applications of this product. Heavy basic coated low hydrogen electrode with high impact properties at -30 C for producing tougher weld. Weld metal recovery is about 115%, which implies higher productivity. Extremely good slag detachability gives greater weld appeal. Low spatter and finely rippled beads with regular profile reduces post-weld dressing operations. Weld of consistent radiographic quality is achieved. A medium heavy coated basic type graphite coated electrode for hard-facing and build-up of worn out machine parts and components. Weld beads are flat and smooth. Slag easily detachable. The weld metal is alloyed cast iron which is hard and extremely resistant to abrasion and metal to metal wear. Suitable for the surfacing on dredger bucket lips, oil expeller worms, concrete mixture blades, scrapper blades, screw conveyor, cement die rings etc. Deposit should not exceed more than 2- 3 layers.
Rutile coated type air hardening electrode for surfacing applications on mild steel, carbon steel, and low alloy steel where 550 Brinell hardness is required. The welds are non-machinable and can only be ground. Slag is easily detachable. The deposit provides resistance against high abrasion and moderate impact Used for surfacing on metal cutting and forming tools, shears, croppers, oil expellers, cane cutting knives, conveyor buckets and mixer blades, crane wheels, bulldozer blades, etc. The deposit should not be more than 2-3 layers.
