The 7SR11 series of relays provide overcurrent and earth fault protection. These relays are typically applied to provide the main protection on feeders and interconnectors and the back-up protection on items of plant such as transformers. On distribution system circuits overcurrent and earth fault protection is often the only protection installed.The 7SR12 includes for directional control of the overcurrent and earth fault functionality and is typically installed where fault current can flow in either direction i.e. on interconnected systems.The relay functionality allows highly flexible settings for current and time grading making it compatible with all types of overcurrent protections.The relays are available in single and four pole variants housed in E4 cases with the IEC61850 protocol option housed in an E6 case. Integrated logic is provided to allow the optimal configuration of relay functionality with the relays analog inputs and binary input/output circuits.Protection, instrumentation and metering functionality is accessible via data comms channel(s). Breaker Management Protective Relay

The SIPROTEC 4 breaker management relay 7VK61 is a highly flexible autorecloser, synchro-check, and circuit breaker failure protection unit. This unit is used for the single and three pole auto-reclosure of a circuit-breaker after this circuit breaker has tripped due to a fault.The synchro-check function ensures that the two circuits being reconnected by closing the circuit-breaker are within a defined safe operating state before the CLOSE command is issued.The 7VK61 is also applicable as circuit breaker failure protection. A breaker failure occurs when the circuit-breaker fails to correctly open and clear the fault after single or three-pole trip commands have been issued by the protection.It is then necessary to trip the relevant busbar zone (section) to ensure fault clearance. Together with the above-mentioned protection functions, the following additional functions of the 7VK61 can be applied: end-fault protection, pole-discrepancy protection, overvoltage protection and under voltage protection.
