Simethicone anti-foam emulsions are manufactured under the pharmaceutical drug licence. It is used as an antiflatulent in pharmaceuticals to combat intestinal gases. Extremely stable and compliant with IP, BP, EP and USP, it is generally offered in different forms, such as oral suspensions. Pharmaceutical vial coatings and medical equipment coatings for water repellency and hydrophobic applications are carried out using specialty silicone emulsions.
