Our Services
Process of Sheet steel fabrication includes manufacturing process of sheet steel parts right from their design to finished assemblies. The above process encompasses three essential areas design & development, production and fabrication. We have state of the art machinery, high capacity material handling cranes, latest software tools and skilled work force to produce best results in each of these there areas. With these facilities we can manufacture sheet steel fabricated assemblies from few Kgs. to few tens of tons.
Design & Development :
Production :
With the aid of software programs, parts are cut in laser cutting machines.Laser cutting machines, then cut parts with extremely low tolerance levels. These parts then pass through the process of shaping i.e. they are then bent using CNC press brakes. In some cases, parts are punched in CNC Turret Punch Presses.
Fabrication :
After cutting and bending/punching processes various parts of assembly are sent for fabrication where they are joined by riveting, welding or screwing. This is another critical area for sheet steel fabricators, as smallest deviation from tolerance limit can cause wastage of entire assembly. To add precision we deploy out of box tools such as Demmeler modular fixtures, welding robots, etc.
The acronym `Laser' stands for Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation. Laser cutting machines use laser technology to cut sheet metal. The laser beam is created in the laser resonator/generator of machine which is delivered cutting head. The cutting head is the central component of the laser cutting system and is located at the end of beam delivery where the laser beam is focused thru the lens.
The CNC laser cutting machine is used to cut metals such as Mild Steel, Stainless Steel and Aluminum with high precision and speed. Laser provides excellent cut quality and productivity on material less than 6 mm. Laser technology has high capital equipment, running and maintenance costs, therefore a high level of business volume is required to pay back the cost of the equipment.
Our expert team of programmers and operators at each manufacturing location are geared up for execution of complex component laser cutting. With input as a drawings or a finished sample part provided by customer.
The 5 axis (3D) Laser cutting :
Heavy-duty production tool with cost-reducing long life technology. Ideal for production environments cutting mild steel, stainless and aluminum up to 75 mm (3") thick Plasma cutting provides an optimal mix of cut quality, productivity and operating cost for mild steel, stainless and aluminum across a wide range of thickness at a competitive capital equipment price. Plasma does an excellent job on gauge materials, with very precise cut quality and virtually no material warpage.
CNC machine bending is a highly automated bending process. It allows high dimensional accuracy and design flexibility. The process provides excellent repeatability. Traditionally CNC programming is done on the shop floor, on the CNC controller of press brake. However, it can result in wrong bending resulting in scrap if the drawings are interpreted wrongly resulting in wastage of material. However, we use software like Radbend CNC which defines the bending sequence, finger stop placement, simple programming for CNC controller resulting in high productivity and lower wastage in terms of shop floor press brake time. It also stimulates the bending process detecting collusion. This results in lower wastage, in turn economic manufacturing at faster speed resulting in quick deliveries. The knowledge and experience of press brake operators helps guarantee part accuracy & economy. We provide necessary training to give that expertise to the operators in the first place. Time to time we organize training sessions within organization to update the operators about new techniques and tools to improve productivity.
Powder coating is a type of coating that is applied as a free-flowing, dry powder. The main difference between a conventional liquid paint and a powder coating is that the powder coating does not require a solvent to keep the binder and filler parts in a liquid suspension form. The coating is typically applied electrostatically and is then cured under heat to allow it to flow and form a "skin." The powder may be a thermoplastic or a thermoset polymer. It is usually used to create a hard finish that is tougher than conventional paint
CNC turret punching creates shapes in sheet material by successively punching a series of basic shapes such as circles and rectangles. The basic shapes are selected from a rotating turret under CNC control. Edges are usually very good due to the shearing action. CNC turret punching can produce 2D shapes including cutouts. It is best suited for custom enclosures, Metal Brackets, front panels, boxes, etc. CNC turret punching is a cost effective method for cutting sheet steel in moderate to long runs. It has vast tooling potential for the increased versatility. This means ability to produce variety of components without re-tooling. This results in significant saving in production cost and noticeable increase in productivity. This has a great impact on job work cost and so we are able to do job work with excellent quality at affordable cost. We have a large stock of the tools required for turret punch press operations. It is ideal for repetitive jobs
Seven tank cleaning is a chemical process. Oils and greases are removed in weak alkali or neutral detergent solutions and the surface is etched to remove heavy oxides. Pre treatment ensures the rust free surface to improve quality and better paint adhesion. We have modern facilities of shot blasting for removing rust, seven tank treatment for surface preparation. Using these facilities we prepare the parts for best finishing.
Sandblasting is propelling very fine bits of sand at high-velocity to clean or etch a surface. Sand Blasting process helps us to remove oil and rust layers on the surface of the product which ensures quality in surface coating
In Oxyfuel cutting fuel gases and oxygen are used to cut sheet steel. Oxy-fuel cutting is a chemical reaction between pure oxygen and steel to form iron oxide. Only metals whose oxides have a lower melting point than the base metal itself can be cut with this process. Hence, only low carbon steel and some low alloys meet the above condition and can be cut effectively with the Oxy-fuel process. It can be best used for thickness of around 40 mm.
The fabricated assemblies are sent for surface preparation and coating. A sheet steel assembly surface needs to be prepared for coating as there are several not uniformities and impurities that can act as a hindrance for protective coating. In order to ensure a good bonding between the metal and the protective coat, various methods like shot blasting, liquid dipping are used depending on the type of material
Get in touch with us, if you are looking for obtaining reliable solutions for Machining - Boring & milling. CNC Machining operation is one of the requisites of high end application of steel components that are intended to ensure :
A milling machine is a machine tool used to machine solid materials. Unlike a drill press, in which the workpiece is held stationary and the drill is moved vertically to penetrate the material, milling also involves movement of the workpiece against the rotating cutter, the latter of which is able to cut on its flanks as well as its tip. Workpiece and cutter movement are precisely controlled to less than 0.001 in (0.025 mm), usually by means of precision ground slides and leadscrews or analogous technology. Milling machines adds precision to the fabricated assemblies.
Boring machines is a device for producing smooth and accurate holes in a workpiece by enlarging existing holes with a bore, which may bear a single cutting tip of steel, cemented carbide, or diamond or may be a small grinding wheel. Single-point tools, gripped in a boring head attached to a rotating spindle, are moved circularly against the sides of the existing holes. The diameter of the hole swept out by the tool is controlled by adjustment of the boring head.
CNC Boring operation provides operational flexibility and precision. It offers exceptional versatility, enhanced productivity benefits, extensive customisation.
